My Nighthawk Black EP3 CTR Sold :(
Discussion
Yeah they are great cars...Good all rounders. I'm looking to change mine (just for the sake of having something different after 3 years) but I'm struggling! My CTR is cheap, quick as you need in this day and age, fun and practical. Also it's had nothing go wrong with it, despite a 100bhp per litre engine and 8,2500 rev limit. Pretty good overall!
I long for an EP3...
But with a new house purchase and all,I just cant justify it yet
I have started a new job however, which gives me a company car,and Im seriously considering a brand new FN2 type r.I need to look into it though, like the taxation for example. My daily commute is around 40 miles,so not too bad,I just dont wanna get some boring ride and be stuck with it for the next 3 years!
How do you rate your 1.8 OP?

Its ok - the ride and usability of the power is infinitely better than my old EP3 type R on normal roads. the 0-60 time of 8.9secs/140bhp barely makes it even a warm hatch? its not very 'exciting' but it handles really well and hasnt lost the old civics great instant turn in ability. So its great all round but wont make your hair stand up on the back of your neck. But with a new house purchase and all,I just cant justify it yet

The deals they are doing at the moment on new type-r’s is pretty darn good.
£19,995 for an LSD version with 4 years 0% finance (35%min deposit) 4 years free servicing and 4 years roadside assistance.
Get it before September 30th 

You can still buy new type-r's?? i thought production finished a long time ago? Can you tell me where you are being offered the 4 years 0%,4 years services etc deal please?
Production finished roughly 4 months ago but there are still unregistered type-r's in group stock that can be sold.As for where you can get the deals i would say only from my dealership in loughton, but then my moral side would kick in and force me to say any Honda dealer in the UK.

Thanks, thats interesting as i asked at a local dealer a couple of months ago and he said no new cars were available any more. Perhaps he was used car sales and was pushing a nearly new car my way rather than brand new.
So much more margin in used cars thats why... dealers can have £2-3000 across a used car sometimes, far better than the usual 4% margin on new cars!Thesaint01708 said:

Yup,was in BH Hill, now in waltham abbey (was too poor to buy round the hill )
Only problem (I think ?) is that its a company car that Im being given, would they be able to use your dealership OP?

Cool,Ive only started the job on monday,so im still waiting on the company to register me in the scheme, and Ive not 100% made a decision too,I almost have, because as above,I just worry that if I get something like a 120d,or an a3 tdi I gonna be bored stless pretty soon...
That and I love type r's.If it were my choice though,I'd have a premier EP3 with the lowest miles I could find as a company car ,but then the FN2 is a nice place to be!
Will let you know either way though, thx!
