accord ctdi timing chain replacement?

hey gang,

just wonderin if the timing chain ever needs replacing on the ctdi 140bhp 2.2l engine - year 2004 around say.

i have noticed on a car ad recently that the description read: timing chain needs replacing, and in another ad it said that the chain was replaced,

both cars had around 120k miles

Just wondering also if there is anything i should watch out for in a accord executive tourer year 2004.

i have also heard recently that the average expectancy of diesel injectors is 120k miles.
if i buy an accord ctdi with 120k miles, should i be expecting to change the injectors soon?

You need to get yourself over to typeaccord forum. There is lots of info on there.

The 04 and 05 (i think) diesel accords had a problem with rattling chains and they were covered on a 7 year or 120k miles extended warranty. I think the chain replacement etc also include a set of new injectors.

Get one which has been done at honda or one that still qualifies for Honda to replace chain etc.
