Try and push your budget to an 04+

Lots of cat d/c out there because the cars get crashed - especially in the winter months.

Pop on over to www.s2ki.co.uk, a great buyers guide/FAQ etc.

Also, is there anything specific to S2k's to look out for other than the usual used car checks?
Make sure it drives straight. Geo is fully adjustable* so no excuse for a car that doesn't feel like it drives properly. Or one that feels 'leaden'/nose-led - the car should 'take a stance' from the rear under acceleration through a corner that feels like the first step towards oversteer. Quite stable though...

Only other thing is idle - make sure the idle is dead-smooth** - slight burbling MAY be nothing but may be indicative of bottom-end problems, esp. on high-mileage cars.

* As long as the adjustment bolts haven't seized - the achilles heel of the S2000!

** And I mean perfectly smooth - this is a Honda, after all. wink

Craze bros one doesn't mention service history and there are no interior photos. Two private cars look tidy and IMHO are better advertised. Doesn't necessarily mean anything though.

Mileage on all looks reasonable, all similar prices...I'd go look at any of those. Not sure about the gearknob on the '03, but that's an easy fix. And good choice of colour, too...MCB is one of the best options IMHO! biggrin

Weeelll...the passenger airbag fuse is in a known position, and owners with small children HAVE been known to just pull that fuse!

Well, quite biggrin

What about insurers "view" on that?

Personally I see no problem with it but some will.....
