i'm looking at getting a hardtop for my S2000. Since its a 2001 i think it needs mounting brackets, but I can't seem to find a definitive guide as to what I actually need to fit the hardtop. I've found some "hardtop mounting latches" on ebay, is that all i'd need?

also, has anyone wired up a hardtop to the spare button by the handbrake for the heated windscreen?

if someone could give me an idea of the hardware i'll need it'd be much appreciated!

Your S2000 will not require any change of brackets, it will have its own fixings which clip in to the standard roof mountings above your sun visors. As your screen is plastic you will need to get the heated rear window wiring if you would like it to work, this is a short wire that runs from a plug already present in your car (under a grommet on the passenger rear trim just past where the passenger’s shoulder would be) to the hard top. This is very easy to fit and will be fitted/removed each time you remove/fit the hard top.

yeah they are-i got quoted £2500 for the full kit from Honda. Think they're ~£1k from S2k forums. Fitting kit seems expensive for what it is-supply and demand though i suppose!

Get a propper stand for the roof when your not using it, if they get left incorrectly ie not on a stand it can distort the roof
