Having sold the S2000 has made me a bit sad. I think there is little out there which will bring so much fun my way for the same amount of cash!

I am sure there are plenty of nice cars but I do not think they will be something which I will be have fun with on the same level I did the S2000. I suppose that is the nature of having a baby.

I need to grow up!

Buy a Monaro there going cheap just now!! A lot of car for the money not as great in the corners as the S2000 but there good for the size of car they are and the sound track is epic!!

Lol. That would be a nuts car!

do you have one?

I am going down the borning route now. I am thinking S3, Ford RS, VW scirroco GT/R. I am quite tempted by the S3. 4 wheel drive, its nippy and prob remap it to the following

BHP Before: 265
BHP After: 310
NM Torque Before: 350
NM Torque After: 425

That will fly!!!!

Yeah I bought a 2005 VXR Monaro last year which is supercharged biggrin it's an addictive car to drive and there's room for four and the build quality is not that bad either. Am lucky to still own the S2000 but it's kinda shared through the family now but am the only one that drives it wink

A remaped S3 would be nice, four wheel drive is also a bonus but I like it sideways haha

I agree the s3 will be boring.

I am also considering the Audi s5. That will be a nice car....

The S2000 went this morning...

Nice car!! Someone got a good deal there!! An S5 would be a better choice than a S3 but if you want something really fun by one of these!! There not that bad on fuel either

Do you reckon I sold it too cheap? It went for 15.8k.

the vauxhall is a fun car... would be nice to have some badge? Hope I ain't being too snobby.

I was meaning it was a nice car and that price you sold it for is about right, yeah the Audi has better build quality and it's a better brand name and it's more of a sensible man's car plus 4 wheel drive. But remember the VXR8 is not really a Vauxhall it's a Holden and if you were to de-badge it not many people would know what it was anyway!! Plus the V8 under the bonnet packs a good punch and it sounds amazing!! You would have more fun in the Vauxhall/Holden I would say.

Post some pictures up what ever you get anyway

I reckon your right. It is a nice car and the price is prob right... It was up for sale for 4 weeks. I had 3 calls, one view and I sold it for 15.8k. I seen a few 2009 for a main 16k at dealers.

The de-badging would be a good idea. I reckon it would be a blast to have the v8. Thankfully the s5 has a v8 too, it wont be as fun as the vauxhall.

I never realised the S5 were going that cheap!! That's a lot of car for the money I thought they were still over 30 grand. I forgot that they had the 4.2 V8, it would be a nice car to have.

Depends what you use the car for too? I use my Monaro as a toy and for road trips and because I work abroad I don't have to commute to work. I was also wanting a car to tune and the engines in these car are very tunable with big power gains!! Am looking at getting a bigger supercharger and forged internals so it will be running at around 650-680bhp. Plus everyone stops and stares when they hear my car driving through the street it's quiet comical at times. Just check some of the video's on youtube biggrin

I have ditched the S3 plan! lol.

The 996 looks nice but is a bit dated, and the 997 has piston issues so I have put the 997 desire on hold until the Gen 2 997 become cheaper.

I reckon a coupe is the way forwards, the M3, S5... maybe a 650i coupe... dare I say it.. a X5 4.8 or a 3.0d, maybe a VW toureg ?!!
