This is slightly hair-splitting but it equalled the quickest-ever TF run in Europe, Kim Reymond ran 4.645 in September 2003. Tuned by the same guys, in the same lane, how spooky is that?

I think that when today is over there may not be any argument over the quickest run anyway biggrin

I think a big well done to Stig Neergard is in order! We spoke to them on Thursday night and said they didnt think they would qualify! Also gave my brother some engine parts and were really friendly.

Pro Mods were brilliant too...how long till we see a 6.0, Main Event i should think!

Overall, the best meeting for years and a huge part of that was down the the staff at Santa Pod who were awesome as usual.

I think another huge factor of it is how good the teams are getting now. Nearly no oil over the weekend.

Stig is one of the nicest guys in the pits. He's struggled a bit with a number of minor niggles, but once they were sorted out, he's shown what he can do. I'm so pleased for him, and he was over the moon with his first 4 second pass. Plus, there's much more to come from that car.
