I'll be there with the mid-engined polo to see what it will do.

I'm tempted to go to watch as I've never been to a drag racing event before and have been meaning to pop over for a while. Any idea how much it will cost to get in? I can't find any info online.

It sure would be nice to see a big turn out at York this w,end. Wonder if a big number of fellow fans and racers from down south will come? York needs the support just as much as the others do, its a nice run up, its only £15 to get in for the full w,end and kids get in free. smile

In the last hour when most of the finals were run I counted a maximum of 30 spectators in the stands and 27 on the bank. As the final of the American Super Stock was run the spectators had dwindled to 12 in the stands 16 on the banking. I would say there was 500 to a max of 800 people in attendance at any one point during the day.Fantastic sunshine and a good variety of racing. Where was everyone??

I think its a long way for some to come, sad times for travel and it can only get worse. Whats needed is more racers and fans from the North to get interested and to join York raceway, a lot of young ones don't know its there even! Could do with spreading the word getting more publicity and using the track more if that's pos, If the guys who do a brill job running it can get time also!

Some first pic's of york here from james on the MMA site-

also good news for bikes-
