From the FHRA Nitro Nationals coverage:

"We got some nitro odour today also. Ex TMD driver Jari Halinen was running his license pass. And time 9.28 (little over 60 f)"

Anyone know anything about this? Which car is he licensing in, for example? Dragster or funny car? The Mad Bomber Racing web site no longer seems to exist.

Is that the Same Jari Halinen that used to drive the Eagle racing Comp car in the late 90's early 00's?

That could be the link as Janne Ahohen used to drive with the same team?

Hi Fuel Fanz !
Well spotted, FT, this is the same driver.
Of course I like a new driver in the TF ranks, but :
For me personally (and as Hockenheim commentator)this is sad news,
because it really seems that Jari is replacing Janne for the non-FIA events,
and this means Janne will not be at the NitrolympX in August....frown
I was still hoping that this plan was to be changed,
because Janne (as Ski-Jumper) has a big crowd of fans in germany,
and this would have been "big time PR" for Drag Racing, with lots of TV coverage.
Cheers,
Benni

Of course, the obvious solution to this is to persuade Rico to return Hockenheim to the FIA calendar where it belongs...

Well, as you might know :
often in life, the most obvious and simplest solutions are the ones
that are the most difficult ones to accomplish..............
Nuff said, but still hoping for the future,

Well now you point it out, I vaguely remember reading about it. But it was 3 months ago, and I have the memory of a goldfish...
