Well I thought it was one hell of a milestone when John Sleath ran his 180mph terminal on treads last year and now Andy's knocking on a 190mph terminal,
Perhaps Andy should enter the Pro Mod class next year with slicks - he certainly would not come last.

To sum it up SUPERB

Indeed, the Barn is being removed after this meeting and a wall put in its place...

Andy seemed very happy with the run when I had a chat with him yesterday, I think it's safe to say that there is more to come from the car...

You may have trouble speaking to Andy at the moment though, he's probably as deaf as post, I know my hearing isn't the same any more! Max Croot's Snowmobile is not the most quiet vehicle I've ever encountered!!!

Given that yesterday & today were a wash out , this pic taken Sat. 4.00pm will be the last hours of the barn in use.

I had a tribute to the barn on my car with added chicken (the tow vehicle)...i forgot to take a pic (Doh!)

We used the barn on friday when it drizzled (both times we were called out and were about to run when the heavens opened on friday)... so in a way i am glad i had one last view.

Bye bye Barn... you will be missed.

the guy on nitro fm said its going to be a wall of containers, with the mc and timing crews sat on top.

we will have no wet weather cover or anywhere to eat when its wet, the pod cafe is miles away, i have a new motto

if the sun dont show, i dont go

and well done frosty, mind you, he did sound like "boing boing" boyden on the pa system...

You should have come and said Hello Phil... It would have been a long walk but I would have made you a coffee!

Attending the Euro Finals?

We always do this after a Pod event! nuts I looked for you in the programme - 587 Racing? - but nothing there! What are you listed as?

May well be at the Euro Finals. smile

Pro-ET 587 (we were on the program as ojzengineering.co.uk for this event)

For future reference... This is what you're looking for... wink

Apologies for the thread HiJack, and many congrats to Andy.

That picture really does throw the state of the Barn into sharp relief, doesn't it? How can anyone be remotely nostalgic about that chunk of crappy scrap metal, which (dont forget) has formed the backdrop for the vast majority of the media coverage of the sport over here.

Frankly, like cigarette smoke in a public place, I cant wait to see the back of it!

I think they should *relocate* the barn - you're right Jon, it's a sad sight in the background of all the photos.

But it IS a nostalgia icon - perhaps they could use it as a shelter elsewhere?

The main reason why I do not want to see the barn go is because even less room will be available on the banking and grandstands - it's full now at the main event etc without another few hundred trying to squeeze in !
