Dont worry its not the end of Top Fuel but iv heard rumors of Tommy Moller, Lex Joon and a few others moving to Fuel funny car. If this happens along wiv the sale of the other Top Fuels surely the class will again be lacking numbers.

Dont get me wrong I do like the Fuel funny cars, and it would be good to see someone put Spuff and Gordon to shame and actually get down the track but I thought the days were gone when there would be less then 10 Top fuels at the big events.

To be fair to Spuff, it did look like they are FINALLY getting a handle on the car....look at the numbers he ran last time out .

Yes, if everyone else in the class sells up, there will be fewer cars (well... D'urrr). Untill such time as AA/FC makes it onto the europe wide TV package, I would not be too concerned about the better sponsored teams abandoning TFD for AA/FC. Now, two car teams.....

I would be more concerned about reduced numbers in the Methanol ranks because of the influx of new AA/FC teams.

That's the way to go about stirring things again.

Just hope John doesn't have to read it.

Get down the Flame and Thunder. I'm sure Bob Jarrett is looking for a tuning consultant...

I assume this is some kind of wind up, hence I'll dismiss it as 'ego self enhancement'....

Don't think you really have any idea whats involved in making one of these cars get down the track. I hope you are joking or just stupid and not taking a cheap shot at the Nitro FC's.

I honestly went to the Main event this year and had a bet wiv my dad that spuff would not run faster then 50mph.
And i won.

Im not windin u up, I think 9 out of 10 times i would win in a street car.

I apprieciate that its a hard thing to do (tune and run a Fuel funny car) but I cant stand goin to these events and watching junior dragster go faster.

When you run a 5.20 ET having made about 3 outings in a season, with very little data, and trying to make a US style tune-up work in Europe, we'll sit up and take notice, til then - K&N filters look wicked on an Almera.

Oh dear, looks like you owe your dad some money. John Spuffard ran 159.17 mph in the first run on the sunday at 1454 hrs, 93.11 mph on sunday's second run at 1850 and 97.02 mph on the monday at 1415 hrs. The incrementals for the three passes give an eighth mile speed of over 210 mph for the first pass.

if you know anything about UK drag racing you won't go bad mouthing Spuff again, he is one of the most talented and experianced nitro flopper pilots outside the states (not to mention the fastest) and in recent years you've obviously missed the 272mph and a good few 5.2s too boot, while fuel FC has been so low on numbers Spuff and Bob Jarrett have been there without exception keeping it alive

also look at it % wise with the cars, yea you see quick numbers in TF but theres more of them, if there was only 3 then you would see a lot more aborted runs - its the way of the beast with nitro

I also would like to pull up your refrence to top fuel as the "big boys" yea they're the quickest and fastest class but there are plenty classes that deserve high recognition and in my opinion there is nothing finer than seeing a pair of fuel floppers on full tilt, except maybe a pair of fuel altereds doing the same also we need good numbers of every class, I would hate to see 32 fuellers, no funny cars no alky cars and no pro mods
