To run 9.8 @ 138 , 1850 lb including driver will require 377 bhp according to my bracket racer science maths formulas, which are normally pretty close.

8.8 @ 154 , 2000 lb auto = 540 bhp

Unfortunately its not a simple X x Y =Z . Its in the Mopar Chassis manual , chapter 25 & consists of predetermined charts for speed or ET that you reference ,get a ratio & then using your weight calculate BHP. It works the other way round as well , eg you have 550 bhp in a race auto chassis (manual cals. are different) of 2800 lb = xxx mph which should be x.xx secs.

So you really fancy a go in Street eliminator do you? Have you seen a full copy of the rules yet? I'll look forward to seeing the wee beastie run.
The rebuilt (and improved!!) engine is almost ready for dynoing but I'll let you find out the hard way what it's capable of Lets just say it should make the ride a little more interesting than last year!
And as your new ride isn't too big I should be able to see all of it in the rear view mirror

I'd like to get the most use out of the new car, rather than having it sitting there parked, so I want to make sure that it is eligible for the SE series so that I am able to do as many events as possible.
However, I am well aware that SE is a big commitment, a professionally run championship.
To enter just one round isn't good enough, I'd need to do all or none really else I'd feel guilty for the series by only turning up erratically.
So I want to make sure the car is OK, and then decide whether I can make the commitment.
Of course I still have the Street Racer series to fit in, and circuit racing too...so much fun, so little time!
