A huge pat on the back goes out to the redvictor drag race team of Andy Frost and his Victor this weekend.
This years hard work finally paid off,with a run of 7.802 secs @ 183.07 mph.
Not bad for a fully street legal motor!!!

You mean he changed his car from street legal trim just for this run?These cars have to be MOT'd, taxed and (AFAIK) have to be driven on a route around local roads to prove their roadworthyness as well as performing several "hot"starts under their power. To that end, yes, they are road legal.

thank you everyone....just for the record the "illegal" drag radials will pass not only an MOT test but an SVA test also..... They are the same sort of tread pattern as a Yokohama tyre.....and also Dave 200,bear in mind that i ran 8.2 at 177mph with 1500hp on the old combo on block treaded tyres...huge terminals go with 2000+hp.....

I know, I was wondering if he was asserting his insider knowledge not known to us mere mortals or just his lack of knowledge.
As I thought, it seems it was the latter. Good to see the man himself has been along to back it up though.

at 20psi of boost it is close if not more than 2000hp.It will go to 28psi....
The chassis is a tubular one.The old car used to bend the floor at 1200hp...
