Last weekend we had the Powerfest weekend that was a collaboration between Straightliners and the VW owners club.

It has to be said this was the biggest and best weekend for the Northern drag strip to date and so many more race cars and classes made the journey to attend and race the unprepped 1/8th mile.

Gasser Circus brought a big field of cars and entertained the crowds with wheels up action.

There were also plenty of low 5 second runs from the quicker cars now they are getting their set ups tuned to the track. Everyone is getting quicker and loving it.

All i have heard are very positive comments and everyone agreed the venue and atmosphere are superb.
This track is going from strength to strength.

Were you there?
Please comment and lets keep spreading the word and attracting more racers from farther afield to make the trip and join in the Northern fun.

Good to see Melbourne steadily getting more popular. Many happy memories of racing there with my Comp Altered and then with the Super Sprite and BGT Rover V8's.
