So glad someone finally made it this year, it’s been looking likely since round one but just slightly out of reach for everyone involved.
Now someone has done it, I think the World Record will fall quite quickly next year and there will be a few more in the 6s along with Jedd.
He actually went 6.88 in the end, and then 6.93 later in the day. A great weekend!

Hello Coppice,
this was Jan Honée´s "Swallower Singleforce", THE quickest single cylinder bike ever.
According to Eurodragster.com race report and pics, Jan had a "throttle mishap" ,
twisting the grip ever so slightly while climbing on the seat.
Jan was hanging on until the tree, was thrown off, bike went idling without rider the whole track,
touching both walls but not badly crashing.
Jan was checked but is OK, I hope he rebuilds whatever damage occurred.
It is one of my all-time favourite bikes, 16 years of conception and construction ended up as
480cc, DOHC 4 valve head with beryllium skull, over 50 psi boost, nitro, 200 hp at the wheel,
ran a best opf 8.2 / 260 Km/h in Valdosta on the legendary "Dutch Bike Invasion" in 1996.

Back when I was racing they came and did a surprise kill switch/lanyard check, quite a few had no effect .

With the way they start, burnout and run those bikes, I don't think you'll find they're able to run a kill swtich / lanyard. Not saying they shouldn't, just don't think they would be able to. The rider is constantly on and off the bike. Back when I was racing they came and did a surprise kill switch/lanyard check, quite a few had no effect .
Apparently John Willard is bringing the Aussie Outlaw over from Australia this year and it'll racing at a few events.
Not sure if he'll break his current record of 6.67 @ 208, as I'd imagine the conditions are a bit more favourable over there, but either way it'll be cool to see the car up against the big hitters in the UK.

He ran at the weekend as a test for Dragstalgia. 6.76 @ 206 ‘off the trailer’!Not sure if he'll break his current record of 6.67 @ 208, as I'd imagine the conditions are a bit more favourable over there, but either way it'll be cool to see the car up against the big hitters in the UK.
