After my garage was broken into a few months back I finally got round to replacing my 8 year old Marin Bolinas Ridge.

Amazing how the technology moves on....smoother everything.

I just bought the exact same bike. Went for shiney red as I can't stand all the matt finishes. To be honest, its not that much better than my old 2007 Trek 4300. Lot of money considering...

Sold my old bike to my Brother and wanted one with better brakes. Don't get me wrong, its a good improvement, but it isn't a night/day improvement. Oh, and it was red and shiney smile

The only reason I went with disc brakes wink

It just got a bit better. I did a 10 mile gravel track/tree root/flint infested ride today after dropping the tyre pressures a little from 'rockhard' to 'quite hard' as delivered by the bike shop. Made a big difference to how the bike feels, more experimenting I think...
