Locked out Rockshox Revelation forks

Hmmm, I'm now regretting not getting my RS Revelation 426 Dual Air forks serviced before I left the UK

It seems today's ride out here in Timor was too much and my forks have now locked out. Both air chambers are holding pressure just fine, so I think it's a problem with the Motion Control/Damping side. If I remove all pressure from the air side, I can move from max travel to about the 100mm mark; so about 30mm of travel before the forks are totally solid and locked out.

A quick Google suggests it could be a problem with oil bypassing an internal seal from the top to the bottom of the leg, causing hydrolock. I've looked at the service guide for the forks and it looks like something I might be able to do, assuming I can actually source some suitable o-rings, fork oil and tools.

Any thoughts as to possible cause?

Ok, seems that there's no bike shops here in Kupang I figured I might as well open them up to see if it's an obvious problem however I'm stuck!

I followed the service manual and also this article here:

but cannot get past stage 6. I've tapped the bottom of the nut and it released ok but cannot get the lowers to separate from the uppers. Something inside is stopping them solid at the maximum travel. I've taken off both the air spring and motion control units from the top of the uppers but still the lowers won't separate! I suspect this could be the same thing causing the lack of travel.

You need to give the bolts on both sides a healthy wack with a hammer - have you done this? You should be able to see the compression rod dropping into the fork.
