Riding in Knoydart ?

Has anyone ridden in Knoydart?

We're planning on riding from Fort William, via Loch Arkaig, to the village of Inverie - home to the most remote pub in Britain - a village with no roads leading to it. You can only arrive via boat or foot/bike.

Specifically looking for advice on the ride between Loch Arkaig and Inverie. Very little detail on the web. The few sites I found tend to say "don't do it", due to very tough terrain and not particularly rideable. This only adds to the appeal !

Seem to remember one of the mags, maybe MBR, doing this some years ago. IIRC rideable but be prepared to walk/carry. Boats were involved on the return I think to avoid the worst bits.
