Hey guys,
It's time for me to get shot of my bike, a 2006 Kona Hoss as I'm buying my friends pretty much never used 08 Twentyfourseven Dark Angel Slacker
.
Specs of old bike here (Its in a decent condition, will be serviced before I sell it and all in working condition, there are a couple of scratches/wear marks on the frame but NO dents or anything terminal along those lines. Oh and it probably doesn't make much difference but it's got Hayes HF-X Nine xc's not Hayes Soles)
The reason for this thread being, I have NO idea what to price my bike as.
I do appreciate that normally such threads are frowned upon and people normally hate them (sorry in advance), but I genuinely have no idea what to put my bike up for. I would like to get shot of it fairly quickly and really would rather avoid putting it up for a high price and keep testing the waters by slowly bringing it down.
TIA for any replies.

Doodles.

Most people buying decent bikes will want to buy new.
Mate of mine trying to sell a Cervelo S1(?) can't get rid.
Yep, I can see it being a bit of a nightmare getting rid of it Mate of mine trying to sell a Cervelo S1(?) can't get rid.
.The only other option I have is see if I can get a part exchange at my local bike shop and get a nice BMX instead seeing as they dont stock jump/park bikes other than BMX'es
However, I have never BMX'ed in my life, so that could be interesting to say the least.
I would always work on a decent bike being worth between a third and half of what it should have cost new if it is up to 2 (3 at a push) years old and in good condition. Older bikes or less than good condition would be more like a quarter to a third. Older bikes or nails are worth very little unless you have a lack of morals and a dumb buyer.
Adjustment required if the likes of Paul's cycles are doing new old stock at a their occasional 50% discount, if that makes sense.

and a 2008 bike with a BIN of £400
I thin you will be lucky to get anything more than £250 to be honest but good luck.
