Avid Juicy 3 lever reach adjustment?

All - there's two tiny allen headed grub screws in each of the levers of my J3's. What does each of them do? I'm struggling to find any worthwhile info on the 'net and wondered if the wise folk of this forum could advise on lever reach adjustment? Oh, and how do the pads come out - there doesn't seem to be any pad retaining pins.

Any sensible advice/info would be appreciated. Thanks.

I think the top one is reach adjustment.

The pads are held in by the four pronged cage around the top of the pads.

I always take the caliper off when changing pads,makes it a bit easier imo.
