I'm a skinflint at heart, but the thought of spending £28 on a teeny weeny HD video camera to slap on the bike while hurtling down a mountain doesn't sound too extravagant.

Anyone tried one of these? Teeny weenie cheapo HD camera

Yes, loads on ebay for much less than that too!

I bought one with a 4G card for about £19 from HongKong (including shipping!)

Some impressions-
The provided cards tend to be poo, if you can buy without do and source a card here.

Its a CMOS sensor so at high speed you can get the infamous "CMOS wobble" I've tried it in the car and the footage is usable, bot sure how it would fair on a MTB unless the camera was helmet mounted (to give it the maximum shock protection)

The mounting brackets supplied are alittle fragile, be careful.

The cameras low light performance is appalling (it struggles indoors under electric light) outside its ok.

But as you say- for the price, its not bad.

CPC have a similar small camera listed thats also waterproof.

Ive got a cheapo one like that for when I do trackdays. Ive tested the quality on the roads and im happy with it. The picture quality is good for the money but dont expect HD results!

Defo worth it if your on a budget...

You can then just get a decent memory stick to go with it - I have one, for what it is and what they cost they are brilliant.

search MD80 on youtube for examples......
