Evening all,

I have a Gazelle Formula steel race frame onto which I'm trying to fit Campagnolo Mirage running gear, the problem being is that the frame it came from had a braze on and this one doesn't.
I need an adaptor clamp to get it to fit but I'm having trouble finding one, as all current ones are 32mm or 35mm diameter, presumably for carbon frames. I'm pretty sure my seatpost tube is 27mm diameter, and will therefore (I presume) require a similar size clamp.
eBay has not got anything listed, so does anyone have any ideas where I might find one of these?

Cheers,
Tom

Try posting on www.retrobike.co.uk or try a long established bike shop in your area. Alternatively, could you just buy a new braze on front mech?

if it's a steel frame with a 27 size seat post then most likely you'll need a 28.6 clamp size.

Would this be any use ?

I'd look around the cycle shops which concentrate on tourist/CTC types as they're most likely to handle steel frames. You might be lucky and pick up a genuine campag adaptor, but I think I'd just look out for a complete front changer if it's important to keep "all campag". Yep it'll be more expensive but a lot quicker !

That looks spot on to me, nice one! I'm not fussed about keeping it all Campag, a clamp is a clamp is a clamp! smile (I was going to use a Shimano one from my bits box, but it's the wrong size...)

Cheers,
Tom
