Tyre sizing - how narrow can I go?
Discussion
The bike I want (not long now... nearly there with the savings) has wheels listed as 700c X 32h. I don't really know if the "h" means anything but it's fitted with 45 width "trail" type tyres. I fancy a more road oriented, narrower tyre, something like the Schwalbe Marathon Supereme. Could I fit 700x32 wide tyres to these rims?
Thanks.
Thanks.
32h means 32 spokes. Providing the rims are narrower than the width of your tyres (and I expect on a hybrid they will be less than 25mm) you should be OK.
I recommend these:

Very light fast and grippy in all but deep mud.

Oh my... this is a steep learning curve.
I used to repair bikes for the local lads when I was a teenager but the technology has moved on in the 20 years I've not paid any attention. And boy it's different these days. I'm still learning how these new headsets work.
So, 32 spokes... OK I'll check the *actual* width of the wheel then. Thanks. I feel a little daft now.
