Cheshire Ring

The search facility is broken so I apologise if this has been covered before but has anyone any experience of this route? Any particular things to look out for?

I've never ridden the whole route but I use bits of it on a regular basis. The only thing to watch out for is the fact that Cheshire isn't all flat! Do it though, it's a lovely ride.

Thread resurrection.

Several of us want to do this over two days at some point in the next few weeks. Our start point is likely to be Marple.

Does anyone know if there is a 'best way' round?

Three of us did half of this on Saturday.

It was bloody awful.

We went from Marple to Middlewich via the Macclesfield and Trent and Mersey canals.

The towpaths were like the Somme, it was really, really hard going.

Does it get any better later in the year?

The bits of towpath I use dry out fairly quickly so as long as it hasn't rained for a few days before you ride them it should be okay. After all this rain though I wouldn't have touched them!
