O/T: Dubbs, I notice you have a 2-position seatpost, which is unusual as the S3 is shipped with the 1-position version. Did you fit it specifically so that you can switch it round for TT/Tri?

Well spotted.
I've had it all setup by Velomotion (they do a full retul fit) though so I don't "really" need to move it as it's a road position that I only need to move down the saddle a bit (it's a Fizik Tri II Saddle) to get to a tri position on.
I'm going to get Profile carbon clip on bars (short version) - the S3 is a pretty aggressive position already so my back is about as aero as I need it with elbows at 90deg off the hoods.
ETA: I'm GAGGING to get some deep section carbon wheels on there - SRAM S60 or similar

Nice - plenty of carbon wheels around at various pricepoints. I've not tried SRAM wheels, but I believe they use non dimpled Zipp rims, which are great for TT/Tri, but might be a tad heavy for long hilly rides. Bikeradar, weightweenies, tritalk, timetriallingforums, etc all are good places for discussion on such matters. That said, my Reynolds DV46C are great; the Assaults are almost the same spec for only 60% of the cost.

2009 Specialized Tarmac Elite, and mine's as it appears in this picture apart from the addition of cages, pedals, some different tyres and a Fizik Arione saddle. I love it - feels absolutely superb to ride, quick, stiff and yet nicely damped all at the same time.

Don't worry you will always sweat loads. I was reading an interesting report last week that indicated as you get fitter you actually start to earlier in order to keep your core temp down for longer. Of course you may not sweat as much as you get fitter and have burnt off some of the fat layesr so you're not battling that insulating layer as much.
