Hey team,
20th of June is coming up faster than a uni student on Meow Meow...
So we've had a lot of sunny days for riding, just wondered how everyone is going?
Personally not too bad....doing 40/45 Km's twice a week. + a long climb
Also what's everyone riding?
- TREK Discovery Team Edtn.
Mods: if there is not a sticky for the team can you do the honours...

Been commuting in 2-3 times a week 13miles each way, did a duathon a few weeks back on the S3, got out with the Dartford Seeders/WhiteOak Tri squad on Sunday just gone for a 50mile ride from Dartford to Rochester and back.
nothing now until weekend after next as am limited by work commitments - running and swimming will keep the fitness up just not the cycling

So far I am about 1,100 miles YTD commuting, however this is irrelevant.
I am going to be keeping the missus company.
She has done two outings (10 miles each) on the bike since last July when she gave birth to another little one.
Slightly worried about her being able to finish, although she claims running after 2 kids under 3 keeps her fit.
Both of us on HT MTBs with slicks.

I'm not doing that well either. The main problem for me is the tree pollen and resultant asthma. I can get out and do a couple of good laps of Richmond Park, but I'll be in wheezy pain for the rest of the night.
MUST get out a few nights this week, or I shall be starting to worry about my ability to finish this thing.

The hills of Wales are really beginning to do me in with the singlespeed, riding pretty comfortably on the flat, but the big climbs are hitting hard. Been fitting in 25 miles every Sunday and that feels okay, gunna try and do a 35-40 mile route in the next few weeks, and I am riding everywhere at the moment instead of walking, every little helps and all that! I find the heat definitely has a negative effect, so hopefully starting early in the morning will avoid that...
