Handy to know. This wil obviously kill me cause I can only afford one bike and it wasnt a Yeti, but it will be good to see some out.

Ill be the bloke with half the gear and less of an idea. Brand new black Cube with barends(which are apparently old skool?).

I will try to get there and meet you. If I am not on a demo bike, I will be on my blue Orange 5 with "Gooby" across the rear arm!

Do you know what rout they'll take? Still deciding what bike to get but hope to have something sorted in the next couple of weeks. I just don't really know any decent routes around here.

I asked but they said they will decide at the time as they use different ones. Hopefully they will leave out Glebe!

Fair enough. I'll have to make it along to a few of these once I'm sorted with a bike; Be good to get to know the area.

Have a good ride.

After the Ferry, turned right in to the heath, before the road bends left. Through the forest a bit past Franks Tank, to the bottom of the golf course, climbed up level with the club houses and nice nadgery DH almost to the road. Turned around and climbed the but we just came down then went back out the bottom of the golf course on a newly gravelled (death trap - awesome) smallish descent to Agglestone. Then out to the road. Pints at the Banks, back along the road to the ferry. Got back to Sandbanks at about 10pm.

Just got back from tonights Purbeck ride and had a test on a TOTR Yeti. What a cracking bike. Doesn't help on the up hills but a revelation on the fast down hills. I want one. biggrin

Hello Spydaman - I was on the ride as well, unfortunatly I didnt stay for the chilli and beers but had a damn good time. The yeti's did look very cool.
I regularly ride that area (at least twice a week) but is was great to do it with some different company. I met some really great people and had a great ride. What could be better.

I was surprised at how many were there, about 50 riders?

Yes, the Yeti test was last night but Richie was talking about getting some other makes to demo.
I'll be going every Wed now so might see you down there. I'll be the one on the retro fully rigid e-stay bike.

Richie runs the Ride Cycle Works shop and organises the Wed night Purbeck rides. I think they do one on Tuesday too and others for roadies. Theres always a good turn out especially during the summer. The winter ones in the dark are fun too. The ride starts at 6:20 on the Poole side of the Sandbanks chain ferry.

The ride is organised by the guys at "Ride". Richard (Richie) owns Ride.

He is a top bloke and his enthusiasm for the sport in second to none.

There is food at the restaurant near the chain ferry afterwards
