I've started doing some basic cycling in the hope to loose some weight and feel healthier. At the moment i do the same 9.56 miles, mostly flat but has a few small hills.
I average 15.2MPH, and it takes 37 minutes to do this time. I'm fairly knackered after this, but dont think its pushing me as much as it should.
Now summer is here, I am trying to do 3 during the week and 1 or 2 at weekends.
Can anyone give tips how to increase my average speed or be able to go further? Also, what can i expect to gain from this kind of cycling.
Off now to tighten my crank!
