defintitive guide to setting up rear derailiuer

Gents - indexing...really don't want to give to LBS again, and be relieved of further vouchers to set bike up again...

Rear is an XT mech which is sprung to the lowest...(and in lowest I mean biggest sprocket on cassette). Hanger is true. cable and outer is all new...shifters are XTR

Where can I find the definitive guide to setting these up... almost had it running smooooothly, tweaked it a bit more, and now it won't get into hightest gear on cassette...

Help, links, anything appreciated..

Possibly have to change the limits, however earlier today it was hitting all the sprockets... now with my ham-fisted attempts to 'fine tune' it refuses to move to the highest - this is without touching the H or L setting..

Will have a play tomorrow..
