Gutted but my Downhill Mountain bike is up for sale here:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GT-DHi-World-Cup-Mountain-Bi...

This forum seems mainly XC and Roadie focused but if you have any friends who are into DH and are looking for a premium DH bike, then you may want to send them the link. The bike is amazing to ride and so, so fast.

I managed to fly over the handlebars and hit a rock, breaking my Scaphoid, so the season is officially over. I hope this isn't breaking any of the forum rules and will take this off if it is.

Happy bidding.

A more tranquil moment on lake garda!

Good question! It was GBP 4000.00 new last year and I have ridden it 5 times. I am open to sensible offers.

Thanks for the vote of sympathy! As well as the full arm cast I am in the process of moving house, so every non functioning asset has to go!!!! I will most probably go back to riding motoX next year, it's safer, believe it or not.

I am open to offers on the bike. The RRP was GBP 4000.00 - 2/3rds of this seems reasonable to me....guns NOT included!

It belongs to a friend of mine (mechanic)...not home made.

We will have to agree where to meet. After all, I'll have time to order lunch whilst I'm waiting for you.

I understand if you want to sit out some of the rides like last time - probably banter we ought to take off line or to e-mail smile as it has little to do with the OP

Not wrong! Makes the injury that more painful.

i think ill stop watching it on ebay then as the likelihood of it being a bargain are slim to non-existant I would think.

Mail me with your best price if you like and Ill have a root around down the back of the sofa.

2/3rds strikes me as quite hopeful. I firmly beleive in 1/3 for used bikes being the right price for both parties. Appreciate it yours is barely used but it is second hand none the less. Last years bikes can have discounts close to 30% when they are still unused. I don't know if it is the exact same model but one is £3333 (17% off) at activesport.co.uk.

Don't want to look like I am being an arse but I just think you will be very lucky to get 2/3rds. Half seems a lot more reasonable considering the barely used nature of your bike.

Goodluck selling by the way. Oh and nice bike but I am one of the XC boys!!

Well, I guess it is only worth what someone is willing to pay...you could very well be right about the price but this is no ordinary bike wink 3/5ths of the RRP would be reasonable and I truly believe a lot of bike for the money. If it wasn't for the injury it would be staying firmly put. The one on Active sport is the same model as mine. I am also including pedals, new tyres and derailleur hanger into the deal - that alone is worth another £120.00 The bike is in very good condition and has been fully serviced etc.

I will be back in the XC saddle shortly, I hope. Need to get back into training as soon as the cast comes off as I am spending a week in Croatia on the XC bike in June!

I'll drop you an email if it doesn't hit the reserve on ebay this weekend. The price is up to 1900 at the moment...not long to go before it hits the reserve.
