There's no way round it. I am having a monumentally crap day at work, I'm becoming convinced that even leaving the house this morning was a bad move.

However, I found a new section of trails at my local woods the day before yesterday and hopefully in about 5 hours time I'll be able to go back and have a proper look. Right now I think that's the one thing I want to do more than anything else.

So, 4 hours 55...

Aegh, the day has gone from bad to worse. To cap it all, the last few hours of the day are going to be spent in a meeting. That'll be fun...

I've emailed ahead asking my missus to stick the lights on charge in case it turns into lengthy ride. smile

Tonights bike ride for me will be focussing on learning to do a 'proper' endless manual. I expect some crashes will occur.

Don't like being stuck in work when I could be out on the bike having fun.

I feel quite compelled to lie at this point, but in truth, after all that, there wasn't anything spectacular to be had.

It's a worthy extension to my current training ride, but I didn't really find much beyond the area I saw on Tuesday. There was one potentially decent stretch of singletrack, but it seemed to have a fallen tree every couple of yards! I don't know if I'm paranoid or if there really are a group of walking stick waving OAPs who man-handle fallen branches into position, specifically to bring MTBers to a halt.

Bear traps will sort that out for you Chris, and a couple of Claymores if your feeling particularly aggrieved.

yes

Guaranteed - strategically placed boulders can often do for the enthusiastic MTB'er as well. rolleyes
