Why do you like your bike soooooooo much??
Discussion
We can all talk a load of tosh about the bling of different bikes, and how much better the 2008 Mutts Nuts rides over the lowlands of Vanuatu when compared to the Scabby Minger of 2007, but what's the reason you like the bike you've got?
I like mine cos its often more bike than I need, but sometimes only just enough, and when I'm blasting along singletrack I just don't notice it which means I can concentrate on having fun.
What say the rest of you?

For me (Sub 5) it's tough, relatively versatile and flattering to ride. The handling is also inspirational - one evening last week I went down a winding trail with an incredibly slippery 'sheen' of mud on it - slipping around ont he surface rather than sinking in. I just slithered along with the back end hanging out one way then the other. I'm an average rider at best, but the handling of that thing gives the impression of occasional talent!
My now very bling (cant be bothered figuring out how to post pics) Chameleon makes me feel like I could be a riding god.
It just flows through the singletrack, the brakes scare me and the front fork has more balls than I have.
Plus it looks right and its nice to have a bike the way I dream of - really all that lets it down is me.

+1 for my Orange Crush.Add to that the fact that I could probably run it over with a quarry truck and it'd come out unscathed - that's how 'nails' it is.
On the other hand, it's a right bd to drag it all the way back up the hill
Because I can have one bike to do absolutely everything, from towpaths to big days out to trailcentres to DH to BMX tracks. All I adjust is the seat height. Because it was cheap enough to not care about scratching or chipping the paint. And because, while it was built in Taiwan, I like the fact that the designer and distributor is just one bloke in the Surrey Hiils.

I like my Cove Stiffee cos i built it myself, so it is unique to me. I often wonder if there is an identical stiffee, of the same parts/colour combo out there. Probably not.
oh, also like it because it is a good all rounder, from gentle sprints along towpaths to the local country pub, epic 30 mile marathons to lots of country pubs, or just thrashing around woods, jumps etc, it just feels so adaptable to anything

Whyte 46 bought on the back of the rave reviews . Absolute ste. Worst bike I've ever owned as it ticks all the boxes.
Paint finish crap - Yup
Lots of trips back to the shop due to bits failing - Yup
Nasty geometry changes during the riding experience - Yup
Back end so flexy it feels like the wheel is loose - Yup
Stupid widgets fitted - Yup it has those stupid bobbins that are supposedly more rigid than a QR (see above).
Annoying squeaking noise that keeps coming back despite how many times you've had the "lifetime guaranteed" bearings out - Yup
Conversely the kinesis hard tail frame I built up from spares and parts bin offers - truly magical for the money.
