Bike Rack for a Honda Civic
Discussion
Hi All
I'm after a bike rack for my 2007 Honda Civic.
The slight wrinkle is that it has a glass roof, so unless I fork out the £300 which Honda are asking for, a roof rack's out of the question (I've spoken to Thule who tell me the roof's not strong enough for their products).
So - I was thinking of an X-Rack-3 (I like the idea of being able to store the bikes in the car), but don't seem to be able to contact the company and consequently wonder if they're still in existence?
I know it's a long shot, but does anyone have any experience of an X-Rack-3, or could recommend another option?
Thanks in advance!

What's wrong with flipping up the rear seats and sliding the bikes in, as they do in the brochure?
Personally I've always just dropped the rear seats and thrown bikes in the back of every car I've had. Proper racks seem like too much hassle, and a huge thick tarpaulin stops any mud getting into the boot.

Easily revolved with an old blanket or two, surely?
I'm interested as I'm considering a new Civic - with those flip-up seats it seems an ideal car to just chuck the bike in and go.
A lot depends on frame size. I have a 61cm road bike, which only fits in at an angle. That means the passenger seat has to go all the way forward - not good if you have anyone of average size travelling with you.I'm interested as I'm considering a new Civic - with those flip-up seats it seems an ideal car to just chuck the bike in and go.
