I've got a Bontrager OCLV XXX lite carbon post on my Klein Attitude XX.

Is it a good or bad idea to try hairspray? Or will it melt the post? eek

Clean and degrease the seat tube; if that doesn't do it then you can now get 'assembly paste' for carbon bars, seatposts etc. I just can't remember where from.

I wouldn't recommend hairspray - I've heard that some of the chemicals used can degrade the carbon.
I use Tacx assembly paste - one tub will last you *ages*

Put a cork in side the post, usually cures it
