New bike listed price is it fixed or will they discount.

Ok since you lot dissed my forks Ive been looking around at all the shiney new stuff and a couple of bikes have caught my eye.

Giant trance x2 listed at £1500 so there room for manouver there or is that it pay it or go elswhere?
also Ive seen a specialized stumpjumper fsr comp 2007 for £1275 which looks a nice spec for the money.

It's worth asking but more likely they will offer some extra's like hat, gloves that sort of thing of a 10% off bits you buy other than the bike.

Ok i'll ask and see what they say think I'll have to call in in person though tried a few giant dealers I got off the official web site on the phone today none of them answered

That's a poor show not answering the phone but I think deals are sometime better face to face.

I managed to get through to one in sheffield shortly after making that post. The guy said they never discount 08 bikes and the trance x2 had only just arrived so I had no chance would not even make a a deal on kit (dont need anything anyway but ..).

I need to pop in anyway not sure if I need a medium or a large, I usualy prefer the larger size but the guy was adamant I needed a medium for my height. He only had a medium in stock couldnt be a coincidence could it?

You should be able to get a discount.

The last two bikes I have bought I have managed to get decent discounts, although, when I bought my Specialised Epic I had to shop around, but in the end got £400 off a £2700 bike.

Ok I tried a medium today but as I am right inbetween sizes they are getting a large for me to try. Mind you the medium felt nice to me, we'll see.
Didnt ask for discount yet just need to see what frame size first before I talk money.
