Hi all, after a bit of advice please! Im thinking of replacing my somewhat tired claud butler cape wrath (its six years old now!) with another hardtail MTB. I'm looking at spending around £500-ish, at the moment my top choice is a kona cinder cone, i've found somewhere that will do it for just short of £500, which I think is a bit of a bargain! what do you guys reckon? anything else I should consider? also, can anyone recommend a good place to buy from around the preston (lancs) area?
many thanks

Is that an 08 model? If so, £560 is a stonking price!

Bought blind without a test ride or even seeing if you like the fit?

Kona are good trail machines. As long as the size is right then I doubt you'll have any problems at all. I had a Cinder Cone in the early 90's and it was excellent. Regret selling her tbh

yeah its an 08. I went and had a look at one, not the right size, but had a play on a few konas and found an 18" to be comfortable for me. I thought it was a very good price, I had been looking at 07 bikes, but the only ones left were odd sizes (16" or 22"!)
