Winter Jacket Recommendations
Discussion
My birthday is coming up and the folks are asking what i'd like. I've had my eyes on a decent winter jacket as i've always made do with cheapy cheap stuff that doesn't really do the job.
Now i've been hankering for an Endura eVENT jacket for the last year or so, and fortunately for me, I now have a budget of around £200 to spend. Less is more meaning i'll score browny points from the folks for not spending the full budget and as it stands the eVENT is £120 odd quid, loads of browny points there, but is it about the best jacket I could get for the dosh? or should I look at some Gore stuff?
I want something non-intrusive, easy to carry in a Mule, easy and comfortable to wear but also offers excellent warmth and is wind & waterproof. Ideally I want one jacket does to do it all from late autumn to early spring.

Bought an Endura Venturi eVent jacket last week before enjoying three days in Wales.
It's brilliant, I just had a thin wicking base layer on and the jacket and it kept me warm, dry and shielded from the wind at all times. It did get a little warm on Saturday morning, but nothing unzipping the front slightly didn't sort out. I'd definately recommend one if your in the market.
