Went to Llandegla yesterday.

I hadn't been before but i'd heard so much hype about the place I thought it would be worth the two hour drive. IMO it's great, very man made, very much somewhere that anyone of any ability can ride, one of the chaps with us doesn't ride much and was on a fully rigid bike.
The black runs are mild red at best, theres not really anything technical about them they're just fast flowing singletrack sections which you can take at your own pace, if you like jumps you'll be in your element here, table tops-a-plenty, if you don't just ride over them.
Oh and Rico, Neil. Not a drop of rain until bout 3 o'clock, and even then it was only spitting.

I agree it is a fantastic trail, luckily it's my local trail also - it's where I first got hooked on mountain biking!
What did you think of the new black sections? Oh and the quality 'grub' in the visitor centre, that's worth the visit alone IMO! Recommended to all who haven't been before.

That seals it then, been wondering about going this spring.
I've been riding 'au naturel' in the peaks, real rocky, slow, techy stuff, and I've not ridden any trail centres for a while. Be nice to get some speed up and hit some jumps for once!
I think its doable in a day from Sheffield - I will organise a trip!

The new black sections are huge fun but not worthy of 'black' status IMO, as said above, they're a mild red compared to alot of whats on offer elsewhere.coleo said:

Grub was definately a cut above, but I reckon I can make a better bacon sarnie! and the chaps in the shop were very friendly and helpful, which isn't something you always get considering we didn't buy anything.Gassing Station | Pedal Powered | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
