no i don't mean take it out for dinner.

i bough the bike second hand so i've no idea what year it was made!

serial number: 4X0288M

pic's if thats any help?

it's not like that will,

just genuinely interested to know what year it is thats all.

maybe i was a little gratuitous with the pics, i just cut and pasted all the pics from my "show off your bike thread" instead of having to pull them individually from photo bucket.

Was the bike bought by the original owner as it is now with all new bits, or does it have some triggers broom bits from their previous build?

If it was all new when purchased, try and guess the age of the oldest component. For example, my bike is an '05 model year and has an identical rear mech to yours.

Maybe you could narrow it down a bit?

My FRO is from 1991.

My Kokopelli is from 1996.

Yours is definately newer than either of them.

We already have the year but one of the other ways to tell is by looking at the cut out by the rear drop out.

On pre 2002/3 frames this was a lot bigger than it is on the later frames. They used to crack quite often so the left a bit more metal on it.

FWIW Im 99% sure my 05 frame is the same as your 04. They dont really change it that often.

i emailed yeti yesterday as rico suggested and got a reply about an hour later :-)

the frame is an 04.

first couple of digits of your frame number gives it away but i just wanted to be sure.
