My OH is a bit of a water nutcase - into dinghies and wakeboarding, which doesn't really appeal to me...

I've been told that Neilson do a pretty good job of putting on holidays that cater for the watery type AND for mountain bikers.

Has anyone been on a Neilson holiday and can comment?

my mate worked for neilon in egypt. said the riding was rubbish, most people just wnted to ride to nearby towns as its so HOT.

have you looked at chamonix? no windsurfing etc for obvious reasons but theres plenty of other activities available, rafting, canyoning and other stuff going on. i've done two summer seasons there and the MTB is awesome, with loads of tecnical high altitude sinletrack and massive 1000 meter plus decents. ten fifty do amazing rides there and ian who runs the firm is a top bloke.

hope you find something,

WildCard you bad, bad person :P

She won't go anywhere that she can't wakeboard, so the Alps are totally out of the question (and I'll probably be going to Morzine again later in the year anyway wink).

I've never been there, but Lake Garda in Italy may be worth a look, the lake has windsurfing, wakeboarding, sailing etc, and the mountain biking looks quite good too...
