I bought mine from here. Still find it hard to believe you can order these from Germany, pay €20 for delivery and they still work out so much cheaper than anywhere in the UK. They arrived really quickly too.

Shock horror! Hold the front page! "UK CONSUMERS GET STITCHED UP TO F#CK YET AGAIN" smile

Great value! Cheers for the link.

Did you have any problems at all with dealing with sites outside the UK? How long did they take to arrive?

I ordered them on a Monday morning and had them in my hands by Wednesday. They give you a tracking number with UBS, which gives you up-to-date detail of the delivery progress. Didn't have any problems with them at all. They deliver all over Europe.

In theory, you shouldn't find any problems dealing with European traders, as Europe is meant to be 'one' when trading. In theory, of course.

Which tyres did you order? I need some news ones as I hate the tyres on my new Stumpy.

I've got a Racing Ralph on the back and a Nobby Nic on the front of my Stumpy. When its wet I put another Nobby Nic on the back, but the Ralph is much faster for cross country.

Yeah, they're 2.1's but they look more like 1.8's. The Schwalbe tires always come up small.

Ditto, they are super quick, but the rear only lasted the year.
Just got a fresh pair of 2008 Ralphs, and they have changed the tread pattern, now more like the Nobby's but with smaller knobs. Just as quick as before, but the new Ralph is now much better on the front. So might just run Ralphs front and rear in the summer unless its really gloopy.

PS the new 2008 branding on the sidewalls are now super bling silver, looks ace.

If your buying mail order, make sure you get the 2008 tread pattern

Regards

PS Chainreactioncycles.com Nobby Nics £25, Racing Ralphs £32 no postage, 26x2.1 folding

Several months down the line and i have to say that i have been soooooooooooo dissapointed by the Nobby Nic Evolutions. Particularly just no front end bite when peeling into a bend. They are OK as a rear tire, quite dependable, but as a front, no thanks, just dont give me any feeling of security at all.

Which brings me back to the endless hunt, what is a goof f/r 'chunky' XC option. Got some minions for lift up and ride down but they really drag a bit too much for all day epics!

Ideas?

Maxxis Advantage 2.4 - come up a touch smaller than a minio/high roller 2.35.

V highly reccomended from me having used a lot of tyres!

Have the Racing Ralph and Nobby Nic combo myself and so far its very good. But I would say that because I havent ridden anything else since I had an Onza Porcupine on the front and a Specialized Strom Control on the rear!

What Im REALLY after is the Ralphs and Nics that Schwalbe make for some of Cube's models that have a white stripe in the tread either side. The bike shop wouldnt take some off another model and Schwalbe dont supply any seperately - only on those specific models.

If anyone knows how I can get some, lemmee know. I reckon they look the tits.
