On Sunday - 23rd - matey and I go for our normal ride, a bit different route, a bit steaper, muddier, bumpier, I end up with bruised ribs having gone arse over tit and mate ends up in A & E with broken arm also going arse over tit. Hes now all plastered and not with the liquid medium and Im on the everything hurt when I move my body whimpering.

So are we now proper bikers?

YES,

I hope you get better soon,

Hurting yourself on your bike is a nightmare,
something i try an avoid, but it happens occasionly and unfortunatly when you ride off road on seriously challenging terrian,

The Trick is now to never Injure yourself on your bike ever again.

Good Luck.

ps if you have never hurt yourself on a MTB, Respect, keep it that way, Have Fun.

The true test will be whether you get straight back in the saddle as soon as you are repaired.

I suffered a spill 3 weeks ago that required an A&E trip. The chunk torn in my leg has healed well enough, but the damaged muscle still feels tight and aches a lot. The "it, I'm ok" attitude means that I'm off out tomorrow and can't wait cloud9

According to your list of mishaps then I must be a proper mountain biker too and I do get straight back in the saddle. 936 ADL is a witness to my antics day and night riding.
