I could do that if it wasn't for the mortgage, age and broken body. These guys really do crazy stuff, wish I had the skill and balls to try. Have a look at Josh Bender on you tube, he's the one who started doing silly drops.

Some of the footage on here was shown in a program I watched on National Geographic HD last night.

If you guys have got HD telly you should seek the re-run out (I'm sure there will be one!) - it's awesome. Got it locked under PIN number on the Sky planner. smile

I could watch this guy all day on BMX Vert - Jamie Bestwick.

It's a pity BMX vert doesn't get the coverage in the press that it deserves really as Bestwick and Simon Tabron are winning medals worldwide for Great Britain, unlike some of the overpaid tossers we have to put up with on a daily basis.

And this from this year's Megavalanche - best moment is at 4:15 but the whole lot is very impressive.

Gingerbreadman, just keep an eye on the Avalanche Trophy website: http://www.avalanchecup.com/

The entry forms will go up sometime early in 2008 and all you do is send them your 45 Euros or so and you're in! Then work out how long you want to go for - whether for a long holiday biking or just a weekend and go and enjoy one of the best races in the world.

An number of PH'ers did it this year so would also be able to advise should you be interested. It is worth every penny/euro.

Is it just as much as a giggle as it looks? Just the DH race bit?

Too true, used to ride with Bess many years ago before he moved to the states, and Dale Holmes, if you think BMX vert doesn't get much coverage, try and find some on BMX Racing, another sport we have World Champions in, and a good chance of Gold Medals in Bejing.

Some of Chase Hawks lines are just unbeliveable....and he rides brakeless. eek

Scotty Canmer is another rider you just watch and go WTF......and he drives an EVO...keeping it car related.

And Steven Hamilton is another cracking Street rider...

God I miss riding, had a year off with injuries and I can't wait to get the bike out again.

But then this rings more bells for me...

In response to Gingerbreadman, yes, it's bl**dy brilliant. However it's not all downhill and is about 4okm in length from top to bottom, taking in practically every bit of terrain imaginable.

It is one of THE things to go and do on a mountain bike.
