Just to let you know that Wiggle appear to have stock of the Exposure Maxx lights, I know a few other companies have had trouble getting them in stock, CRC for example have a waiting list. I've bought an Enduro last night and it has been despatched this morning, so if your trying to get hold on one this side of christmas, give them a try.

How are you getting on with that? I very nearly bought one, but wasn't convinced it would be powerful enough as a single light for off road riding.

It's really good - the brightness and burn time is amzazing considering how small and light it is.

I only use it for commuting - I doubt it would be very much use off road, unless used as a helmet light in conjunction with a more substantial handlebar-mounted unit.

Cheers click, you've just added weight to what I already thought. I don't feel so bad about spending £270 this close to christmas.

The light was delivered on Thursday last week and I managed to get out for a cheeky ride last night.

Initial thoughts are that it is an extremely well made, well thought out piece of kit, everything is easy to do and it weighs bugger all. I rode through a few fields, along bridleways, away from the ambiente city glow and it lit my way adequately on the 'low' setting and very well on the 'ride' setting, I think 'maxx' will only be needed in the most extreme cases. The QR bracket is alot tougher than it looks and hols the lights in place firmly, I managed to rattle down some rough terrain on my HT without unsettling it at all.

The only negative I can foresee is the width of the spread, as I had it set-up I was looking at probably 5/6 feet of ground width being lit before me, although the distance is more than impressive.
