I'm bored, I have no big rides planned for the remainder of the year. How many people would be up for a PH ride somewhere decent? Cwm Carn (as i've never been) or equivalent.

Myself and atom111 will be discussing doing the 'local' trails at CC this week. So instead of doing the Twrch Trail we could try one of those. Not sure about dates in Nov yet though. In principle it's a yes from me.

I'd like to do Glentress, but it's a bit far for a day ride and I don't have enough free time to make a long weekend of it. Perhaps next summer a bunch of us could make the trip.

Guys, have a think and post what Saturdays your free running up to Christmas. I'll try and conform to everyone else.

Just did Panmachno and Nant-yr-Arian at the weekend, had a great time but driving for 4 1/2hrs Sat before Panmachno (Loop 2) was a bit much, took me ages to get my concentration together.

Shame I can't come to this as I'm away for most of November, we'll have to get a major meet up after Christmas?

Well why not start you own thread for a 'Northern' ride? You're belly aching 'cause we're not prepared to drive 9-hours for one day of riding when you're not prepared to do it yourself.

You may as well have posted up 'What about a road ride not everyone likes mountain biking.'

CC is fine with me, doing the local trails rather than the Twrch. As for dates I'll have a better idea after this w/e.

Alternatively - Afan would give more waymarked variety.

I have no preference between the sites.

My available dates are 17th November/18th November/24th November/25th November

Would prefer Afan over CC but happy with either and will go with majority vote.

What're the alternative trails near CC? I'm a local and would love to know about any alternatives that aren't as long or as hardcore as the Twrch loop (for random rides out in the dark or when I don't have time for a full loop of CC)

I've not ridden CC either and would be up for this. Also SW based so could maybe team up with someone for the drive? (Exeter)

Am going to London 24/25 Nov for a weekend of toxification wink so the previous spent biking would be an ideal tonic - 17/18 or 10/11 November.

I grew up riding in Edinburgh and ridden the staines many many times - its just a bit toooo far for a day trip these days.
