Anyone got a piccie of the battery connections required for either the Hope LED or HID lights? Oh and I could do with knowing the output voltage and Ah rating of the battery, if that information is printed on the label smile

I was about to purchase either lamp, when I realised that I don't need either the batteries or the charger, as I already have suitable equipment at home (large capacity 14.4V li-on battery and intelligent charger).

I've emailed Hope to see if they'll flog me just the light and mount, but I'm not holding out much hope. Maybe I'll be able to order it as replacement parts (for an imaginary broken lamp).

I'm not sure you'd actually save much, as iirc, the endurance version, which simply comes with an additional battery, is only £40 more?

I don't know what the dimensions of your battery are, but the Hope one is bloody tiny, weighs bugger all and comes in a nice little neoprene case which wraps around the stem really nicely.

I can't post a photo of mine, as I'm in Madrid and it's in Epsom, but if you still need to know on Friday, send me an email, and I'll pop out to the garage and get you a photo then.

Well its just a thought, but if they emailed me back and said "no problem that'll be £100 for just the light" I'd be quite happy with that.

Worth a go but I doubt you'll get it for that sort of price.

If I remember I'll try to take some snaps of mine for you.

Well Chain Reaction Cycles do every single spare part, except the sodding lamp frown

Ta smile Looks easy enough, I just need to get Hope to flog me a light at the right price.

Well they didn't reply. And a second hand hope LED light on Ebay went for £133, only £17 short of a brand new one!

So I just bought one from Chainreactioncycles, fits to either my bars or my head. But I can also use it for work especially this time of year smile
