So... girlfriend's with her Mum at some Spa, I've got a downhill bike in the garage and a light on my XC bike... mix the last 2 together... and you get downhill night riding nuts

Just went up to Woburn Sands to hit up their short course downhills and do a few drops. Rode from dusk right through till half 7 when it was pitch black, with just a small bit of light from the moon and a HELL of a lot of light from my rather powerful Light and Motions

It's really surreal. I've ridden night rides XC loads but you're going a lot faster on a DH bike. Going off drops is a bit of an event... just see the lip with the light, launch and hope. You can't see the drop!

Definitely recommended... biggrin

Much respect to you smile

Cwmcarn's my local, and I don't usually do the DH runs on my own in broad daylight, let alone in the middle of the night with my pissy little 10W halogens lighting the way yikes

I've done nice steep drops offs in the dark without a helmet light and that was interesting to say the least but full off launchs! i worry in broad daylight let alone at night! Good Work biggrin

Now thats something I could do with! At the start of the first run I did, you go over a small tabletop then into some tight berms. Normally I look around the berm and the bike follows, but with the bike having the only light, you're looking into pitch darkness frown
