Anybody got any experience of these?
Do they give off enough light to use on a single straight (not twisty wooded) track in complete darkness?

Don't know about those, but I got a Cat Eye HL-EL320 LED for just under £25 (new) on eBay, and it's adequate for completely dark off road routes that I know well - same thing as it sounds like you'll be using it for - nothing tricky, just need to make sure no new big holes have appeared etc!
