A slighlty impulsive purchase as I was originally going for a 2008 Epic or Stumpjumper. Anyway now to savour the purchase of necessary parts. I can hear Chris King, XTR, Titanium bolt upgrade kit and Fox calling. Oh dear its gonna be exspensive.
Will post pics when its built.

Welcome to the club - great bikes - had one for a year so far and can't fault it - huge fun. Couldn't afford the full-on bling build - but instead have Fox Float RLC, Avid 7, Sram X9/Raceface Deus, Hope/Mavic - reckon about 12.5kg all-up.

that is really cool, i love building my own bikes up, just not good at keeping the cost of components down, bling is deserved on this frame though.

look forward to seeing the pics of it built up,

nice one.

I'm going to have to post 2 lots of pics as my son and I have both bought the same frames, he's going for a burlier build than me. Oh yeah his mate bought one as well, and ummm a couple of our mates have them....................I think we have a tribe. I think thats why I wanted a Spec'
LRdriver 11. I Cant go for a gold headset as I've got a titanium one.

Nice!

With hindsight I should have bought a 575 over the AS-X that I went for. Looks great in white too.

Never ridden or owned a Yeti... Think the brand might be next on my list after Commencal. Lovely bikes!!!

And agreed... that needs pimpage. Full XTR, Thomson post/stem, some bling bars, etc etc etc.

They're mega pricey, but maybe get some of the DT Swiss factory wheels in white? They are just fantastic. I've got the DT Swiss rims on my XC bike (and they were on my 4X bike for 6months) and they're fab.

Make sure you get an 08 XTR Shadow mech... they're lush! Carbon tastic

Rico, hadn't seen those DT Swiss wheels, I dont think I'm quick enough for them! Very loud. Have ordered in some XTR, not as hefty as maybe they should be for a bike like this but then I cant jump for toffee. Carbon XTR mech will not be avaliable till december I'm told. Will ahve one though.
