err... I was daft enough to do the nightrider12 in April with my brother. Amazing how quickly 12 hours go's. Good fun and we had a half decent result so we are looking to do it again next year. If you are going enjoy, hope the weather is good, we were blessed with great weather (probably one of the few good weekends this year !!!!) Anything to make your life easier helps, boil up plenty of water before the event and put it into thermos flasks, that way you will have hot water for tea as soon as you finish your session. Change your clothes after each session, warm dry clothes make you feel a ton better and keep eating.

We have 2x4man teams, 1x3man team and a team of 3 ladies , so plenty of cooks etc to hand , getting excited now , first time at Mtb racing woo hoo. Can't decide whether to do 1 or 2 lap stints , what did you do ? (12mile lap by the way)

The lap was about the same and we went for 2 laps at a time. Seemed to work pretty well. It's enough time to get a drink, some food, change and chill for 10-15 mins, then you are back into it. Really got no sleep during the event, but with the buzz and copious quantities of energy drinks and gels you really don't come down until mid morning/lunch time the next day........
