Just wondering if anyone can recommend a good website/shop/dealer/mail order for obtaining spare parts, quickly and cheaply.

I will be after parts in general, but just as an example, i need a fork crown race for a Cane Creek S3 headset, and after calling a few LBS I am not having much luck (so i can't fit me lovely new Fox 32 Float Rs until i do so frown ) . Can you contact the makers direct for things like this, or do you have to go through dealers?

regards

Greg

Chain Reaction Cycles are simply the cheapest, quickest and most reliable.

Have most things, and doing silly deals at the moment.

Nuff Said. biggrin

Edited to add: I doubt they'd hold spare parts mind, but call them. However they are so friggin cheap, you might find a S3 headset is cheaper from them than the spare part anywhere else...

Does any of this suit?

Wiggle is very good but I can't see that they stock crown races on their own.

Cheers. I have checked out CRC and considered it may well be just as cheap and quicker to buy another headset than hunt around for the crown race

Will have a browse

ps does anyone know if the S1 or S2 headsets use the same fork crown race as the S3?

Bit off topic but want to say thanks for pointing out CRC. I have just 'gone clipless' for £50 in less than 24 hours.

Ordered the bits just before I left work on Friday afternoon and they were at my door (scottish highlands) on Saturday morning, amazing! All fitted and I'm ready to go out and fall off now!

Brill. Be warned. They have your details now, you have fallen for the trap.

You will find an increasingly large amount of bits appearing at your door, and and an increasingly large credit card bill to go with said bits. Its addictive im afraid!
